Thirst - horses need fresh clean water. If your horse isn't drinking water, check their water sources. If it is stale, has algae in it, or is dirty, your horse is probably going to refuse to drink it. Their buckets, troughs and sources need to be cleaned regularly and they should not become dehydrated. Horses drink more water in the winter than they do in summer.
